The 31st IIS Forum with the theme "๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ต ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐๐ธ ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ" was hosted by the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo last March 6-7, 2023.
Project SINAG presented two papers:
โAHI-8 SWR Adjustment using CLOT-derived Correction Factor for Solar PV Power Potential Assessment in the Philippinesโ by Engr. Marielle Sotto, Engr. Ma. Divina Angela Bauzon, Jayson Caรฑete and Dr. Jeark Principe, and
โAssessment of Socioeconomic Impacts of LULC Conversion to Solar Farms Using Remotely Sensed Data: Case of Tarlac and Cebu, Philippinesโ by Dr. Jeark Principe.
Project Leader Dr. Jeark Principe also chaired a session during the second day of the IIS Forum.
The forum covered topics on remotely sensed data gathering techniques in ecosystems, hydrology, modeling, disaster engineering, and the use of wide-area information such as environmental, forest, and disaster risk assessment using geographic information systems.
A total of 40 participants attended the forum from various locations across Japan, ranging from Hokkaido to Nagasaki as well as countries such as Switzerland, Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, and China. The event hosted 26 research presentations in English, followed by a Q&A session.
